DSC's major role has been that of capacity builder of stakeholders, planners and implementers of natural resource management programmes. This called for the need to have its own state of art training centre which can reduce DSC's dependence on outside infrastructure facilities for organizing short and long duration training programs.
With generous support of Pentagon Foundation, a private charitable trust for acquiring land and long-term loan from Housing Development Finance Corporation of India for building, DSC is able to construct state of art training centre which was inaugurated on 21st February 2004.
DSC's training centre, besides having large conference hall which can accommodate up to 70 people and one discussion room which can accommodate 30 people, also have a hostel facility for 35 persons.
Building for DSC has been designed to address cross culture visitors right from the rural area to the people from overseas. Mr. Manil Patel, ace architect and a well-wisher of the organization designed the building after studying the need of the organization in detail. With his vast experience and interest, he provided continuous guidance for unique design and creation of user-friendly facilities at the centre.
